Sexual Addiction Screening Test (SARA)

Knowing you are a sex addict doesn’t mean you are bad or perverted or hopeless. It means you may have a disease, an obsession from which many have healed.

We Are Here To Help You

Welcome to the Sexual Addiction Risk Assessment (SARA). It took courage for you to come to this page, and we thank you for taking the time to visit Recovery Zone.

Recovery can be a scary concept. You want to know what to do, but at the same time, you’re afraid to learn any more about yourself or this illness. You want to talk to someone about your problem, but you’re afraid to trust anyone.

We understand, and we can help. For the last 30 years, we have worked with people just like yourself, helping them find their way to a better life through recovery. That’s why we developed the SARA – to help recovering people to better understand their own addictions, and to get the best help possible.

About the SARA

The Sexual Addiction Risk Assessment has been developed to help you better understand your behaviors. The assessment will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. You will be provided with a detailed, personalized report to help you determine the best course of action for you.

  • Your personal profile will reveal common behaviors and risks associated with your particular type of addiction.
  • You will have valuable information on how to find treatment centers, therapists, and twelve-step groups

We strongly urge that diagnosis and treatment be done with a trained professional. This assessment is designed to help you to seek further help.

Once in therapy, your therapist may administer a series of instruments which can provide a depth and accuracy not possible in a brief self-assessment like this one.

If you have not already taken the free Sexual Addiction Screening Test (SAST), we recommend that you pause here and complete the SAST before proceeding with the SARA.

Taking the SARA

The cost of the assessment is $29.95.

Our process ensures that no one but you will know your results. There is no information to link you with your assessment. Once your report is generated for you, all data are discarded after 24 hours, so we recommend printing your results right away.

We recommend that you bring your assessment with you when you do go to therapy.
